The Bedford Farmers' Market would not be possible without its wonderful and enthusiastic volunteers! We need volunteers on Market Day. Join your friends and neighbors, make new friends, and get to know our vendors. Support local food, art, and music in a vibrant community gathering space and have lots of fun making the BFM successful.
Market Day Volunteer Opportunities:
On Market Day, we have four shifts of 3/4 - 2 1/4 hours. The first shift and the last shift involve some lifting.
We need 6 people for shifts 1 and 4, and 2 people for shifts 2 and 3.

For Shifts 1 and 4:
Assist in setting-up and taking down canopies, tables and supplies. This includes setting up canopies for the Manager's Booth, Events/Children's Booth, Artisan, Community Booth, and the Market Cafe. Tables and chairs are set up for the Manager's Booth, Events/Children's Booth, and Market Cafe, Set up the Manager's Booth with merchandise and any other displayable materials. Help set up the Events/Children's Booth as needed.
For Shifts 2 and 3:
Be the face of the Bedford Farmers' Market
Welcome people to the BFM
Answer customer and vendor questions such as where to find a specific vendor, when do blueberries come into season, etc.
Encourage people to sign up for the newsletter and to volunteer
Point people to the BFM website
Answer questions and distribute applications to potential vendors
Sell merchandise as needed, keeping an accurate count of money
Assist with surveys as needed.
Defer to the Market Manager on all questions or issues related to the running of the BFM on Market Day
